Medium: Pen and ink, Digital imaging and Typography (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Process: I sketched all the initial imagery traditionally, and completed the figures and typography using the digital software.
Project: To create an image to accompany a series of magazine articles in a prominent American sports magazine, challenging the idea of American Heroism:
1) Elevating athletes to the level of superheroes in our culture;
2) The American obsession with highway culture and it's underlying commentary on social class;
3) The effect of the American commercial fast-food industry on cultural and health-related issues in the United States.
